About Mishcka

Mishcka was born in Chicago, Illinois and grew up in the mid-west.  She lived and studied on the east coast: New York City, Boston, New Hampshire, and Vermont.

Mishcka went to Ohio University for two years, then she studied at the Art Students League in New York City as well as the National Academy of Design with the late Leon Kroll.  In Vermont, studied at the Quarry Hill Creative Art Center with the late Isabel Hall.  Mishcka was a realist and surrealist until she met and studied with Josh Goldberg in 2007 in Tucson, Arizona.  Now she’s an abstract and non-objective abstract artist and lives in Tucson.

Through the years Mishcka has worked in pastel, oil, acrylic, mixed media and stained glass, making stained glass windows. When she worked as a stained glass artist, she used mostly hand-blown glass from France, Germany and England.  Working with this beautiful glass deepened her perception of color and moved her painting to another level.

Some collections that have her work are: Global America, New York, N.Y.,  Kollsman Instrument Corp., Merrimack, N. H., Xerox Corp., Leesburg, Va.; Delta Petroleum Corp., Suncook, N. H.; as well as private collections, both nationally and in the UK.
